In 2025, RYFL Cheer proudly entered a new chapter with a rebrand to Rochester Legacy Cheer. This change reflects our continued growth, commitment to excellence, and dedication to building a strong cheer tradition that supports athletes year-round.

The launch of Rochester Legacy Cheer marked the beginning of our Winter Cheer Program, expanding opportunities for athletes to develop skills, teamwork, and confidence beyond the traditional football season. Due to the success and positive response, we are excited to extend all Legacy Cheer programs through 2026.

Step 1

Fall Sideline Cheer

All athletes participating in fall cheer begin here.

per athlete

  • Required for all fall participants
  • Foundation for the fall season
  • First step before any optional competition path

Competition Team Evaluation

For athletes interested in competing.

For athletes joining competition cheer during the winter season only. *There will also be a Winter Only Eval fee of $25 before the season begins.

How it works: All athletes participating in fall cheer begin with Fall Sideline Cheer for $100. Athletes who are interested in competing may also attend Competition Team Evaluations for $25. After placements are made, athletes selected for and choosing to join the Fall Competition Team will pay an additional $150. Winter competition pricing depends on whether the athlete is continuing from fall or joining for winter only.
